What is Household Hazardous Waste?
All The Items Listed Below And More!
house
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Sites will take ALL Household Hazardous Waste
Before transporting waste to the collection event or facility, please use this checklist to make sure you have done the following:
ert Have I used up every product to the fullest extent possible? ert Is the waste in its original container or is it properly labeled as to the contents? (The contents of the container must be the same as stated on the label. If not, cover up the label and write the name of its content.)
ert Have I offered good, usable products I can’t use to my neighbor, family or friends? ert Are the items placed in a sturdy container, such as cardboard or wooden box, for transporting? (Wrap glass  bottles in newspaper to prevent breakage.) Containers with flammable liquid will not be returned.
ert Does the amount of waste I want to transport exceed 5 gallons or 50 pounds of chemical waste? (State Law maximum transportation limitation.) ert Is the box placed in the trunk of your car or in the bed of  your pickup truck and secured to prevent movement?  (Keep items away from passengers.)
ert Are any of the containers leaking? (If they are, place them in a container or material that will not allow the leak to spread and place securely in the vehicle for safe transport.)
Follow directions once you reach the event site. You will be asked to turn off your motor and stay in your vehicle.
The site staff will unload the material from your vehicle.

THIS EVENT IS FOR RESIDENTIAL USE ONLY.  PHOTO DOCUMENTATION WILL BE MADE OF EXCESSIVE OR SUSPECTED NON-RESIDENTIAL LOADS COMING TO EVENT.

Small Business Waste

Conditional Exempt Small Quantity Generator ( CESQG) 1 800-952-5566
What is a CESQG?
Businesses that generate up to 27 gallons or 220 lbs. of hazardous waste, or 2.2 lbs of extremely hazardous waste per month are called CESQG’s. These businesses are required to use a licensed hazardous waste hauler to manifest and transport their waste. The most common CESQG’s are painters, print shops, auto shops, builders, churches, schools, non-profit groups and property managers.

What is the CESQG Program? This Program is a hazardous waste pick-up disposal service for eligible businesses/nonprofit organizations in the County of Riverside. This Program provides small quantity generators with a legal and affordable way to dispose of their waste with all legal documentation provided as part of the service.

How do I get service? To arrange an appointment for the CESQG Program, call 1 (800) 952-5566. A disposal fee will be charged based on the type and amount of waste.

Business waste will NOT be accepted at HHW events or facilities.
