(Subject to Availability.  Price Subject to Change.  Limit of Three Compost Bins per Household!)

CHECKS ONLY PLEASE!

*These composting materials are available to Riverside County Residents only. Bins are also available at all Backyard Composting Workshops and the Riverside County Waste Management Department office by appointment.  Bins will not be shipped.

A compost bin will help to keep your compost pile neat and tidy, deter rodents from digging in your pile, and help your pile retain heat and moisture. The compost bin should be at least 3 feet wide x 3 feet deep x 3 feet tall. Even if your bin is not this large, it will work just fine if managed properly. Take the time to consider your options and the style of composting that is most convenient for you. Compost bins can either be homemade or purchased. Bins are available at scheduled workshops and by appointment at our office (951) 486-3200)

Biostack Bin: $50.00
This bin is manufactured by Smith & Hawken. It stacks for easy turning of material, has large air slots that offer good ventilation, and the lid keeps the material from drying out or getting too wet. ( 28” x 28” x 34”h)

Geobin: $12.00
The GEOBIN™ is easy to assemble, easy to fill and easy to maintain. It is made of rugged, lightweight plastic that you can start using in minutes. Due to the generous number of air holes and open top, the composting process takes place very quickly. Don’t let the simple appearance fool you; this is a hard-working tool that should be in every backyard.  The bin is 3 feet high and makes a bin that is 3' to 4' around.
